Refund policy
Last updated 3 September 2026.
If something went wrong with a purchase, ask. The short version is that unspent gems get refunded within 14 days, and anything that failed or charged you twice gets refunded whenever you notice it.
How to ask
Purchases on the web are handled by Paddle, which is the merchant of record and the name on your bank statement — it appears as PADDLE.NET* LUMO. You can request a refund directly from Paddle at paddle.net using the receipt email they sent you, or write to [email protected] and we will sort it out with them.
Purchases made inside the Android app go through Google Play instead, and refunds for those are requested through Google.
What gets refunded
- Unspent gems, within 14 days. If you bought a pack and have not spent the gems, you can have your money back, no reason needed.
- Anything that did not arrive. If you were charged and the gems never appeared, that is our problem, not yours — and it gets fixed or refunded however long ago it happened.
- Accidental and duplicate purchases, including a child buying something on your device.
- Anything that did not do what it said. If something you bought is broken or was described wrongly, it is refunded.
What usually does not
- Gems you have already spent. Once gems have become a cosmetic, a booster or an instant collection, the thing you bought has been delivered. Ask anyway if you think there is a reason — it is a conversation, not a wall.
- Regret about a balance change. The game is tuned as it goes. A booster being worth less after a rebalance is not a fault.
- Accounts closed for breaking the terms, where unspent gems are not refunded.
What a refund does to your account
Refunded gems are removed from your balance. If that would take you below zero because they have been partly spent, the balance stops at zero rather than going negative, and anything already granted stays granted.
A refund does not reopen a once-per-account offer. Buying the starter pack, refunding it and buying it again is not a way to have it twice.
Please ask before charging back
A chargeback costs us a fee on top of the refund and can get an account automatically locked while the bank investigates. Asking is faster, and we would rather give you the money back than argue about R20.
Your legal rights
Nothing here reduces the rights you have under the consumer law where you live. In some countries digital content bought online carries a statutory right to cancel, which you may be asked to waive at checkout in exchange for getting the gems immediately. Where that right applies and has not been waived, it stands regardless of anything on this page.
